MILES OF MUSIC is a place for learning, creating and collaborating. Our flagship event is an annual week-long music retreat for all ages on a private island in New Hampshire's Lake Winnipesaukee. We also host winter weekends, concerts and dances in Brooklyn and Boston.

2017 Pricing + Scholarships

2017 PRICING | Island camp

Miles of Music Camp tuition covers all of your food, accommodations, classes and activities for the full week you’re with us. When you step onto the boat, you can put your wallet away. Here’s what’s included:

  • 6 days and 6 nights at camp
  • A cozy bed in a double-occupancy cabin
  • Three gourmet meals and a midnight snack daily, with options for vegetarians, vegans and meat lovers alike. Food is locally sourced when possible
  • Self-serve coffee, tea and water available 24 hours a day
  • All classes and options for private instruction
  • Nightly entertainment/dances/jams
  • Round-the-clock access to canoes, kayaks, sailboats and hiking trails. Fishing, tennis and volleyball are available if you bring your own equipment

CANCELLATION POLICY - Once You've been Accepted

If you cancel before March 15, we’ll give you a full refund. 
If you cancel before April 1 , we’ll give you a refund, but keep the $100 deposit. 
If you cancel before May 1 , we’ll give you a 50% refund. 
If you cancel after May 1 , no refunds given.

If you aren't accepted in the first round lottery:

You can remain on the waiting list and we will keep your deposit until May 1, when we will refund all deposits to people still on the waitlist. If you are sure you do not want to attend camp please send us an email and we will remove you from the waiting list and refund your deposit ASAP. 

 

WORK/TRADE DISCOUNTS:

We offer a limited number of work/trade discounts ($260, $300 and $340) for campers in exchange for daily help on the island. These positions can include tasks such as helping in the kitchen, island maintenance and classroom set-up. To apply, select work/trade on the first page of our lottery application and pay the $100 required deposit. Near the end of the application you will be asked for your job preferences.  Names will be drawn at random from the from the pool of work/trade applicants. Our work/trade coordinator will then be in touch with your assigned job and further instructions. The deposit is refundable if you choose not to accept the job we offer. THANK YOU for your help!

 

MUSICIAN SCHOLARSHIP:

We offer a small number of no-strings-attached music-based scholarships for first-time & returning campers. These are substantial discounts open to amateur or professional musicians of any age.

Selections will be made by an anonymous Scholarship Committee that includes no camp staff.

These scholarships are made possible by the Club Passim Iguana Music Fund and by TAX DEDUCTIBLE donations to the Scholarship Fund. We'd like to thank our friends at Jalopy Theatre's Living Traditions non-profit organization for working with us to make this possible. 

 

 

FIRST TIMERS (TWO SCHOLARSHIPS OF $750 EACH): For first time campers in need of financial assistance. This Scholarship is offered thanks to the generosity of the Club Passim Iguana Music Fund, and ONE of the First-Timer Scholarship winners will be asked to perform at the Iguana Fund Showcase in Cambridge, Massachusetts on April 10. 

COMMUNITY CONTINUITY (AMOUNT TBD BY FUND DRIVE): for returning campers who are team players focused on inclusivity and interested in jamming. 

BEGINNER’S MIND (AMOUNT TBD BY FUND DRIVE): For returning or first-time campers new to their instrument of choice.

APPRENTICE (AMOUNT TBD BY FUND DRIVE): For returning or first-time campers who will get something uniquely beneficial from one or more of this year’s instructors. 

 

GROUP LOTTERY APPLICATION:

If you are applying as a group you will be asked to answer questions on behalf of every member of your group as well as pay $100/member of your group at check out.  We have designed a page to help you find out the answers ahead of time.
