Work/Trade Tuition Discount

This year, 18 campers will receive a substantial discount in exchange for working at camp. Most jobs involve cooking or dishes. We schedule the jobs so they generally conflict with only one class period and are valued at approximately $23/hour.

Work/Trade Tuition = $575 // About 14 hours of work for a $325 discount

To apply for a job, fill out the regular lottery application and pay your $100 deposit. Near the end of the form, you’ll be given an option to tell us you’re applying for a job and rank your choice of jobs from a list of those available.

Our Work/Trade Coordinator will draw names and assign jobs to the Work/Trade applicants around the end of February. If you are put on the Work/Trade Waiting List, you will automatically be entered into our General Lottery so you have the option of attending camp at regular price. If you prefer not to enter our General Lottery, let us know and you can choose to remain on the Work/Trade Waiting List ONLY. You may also request an immediate refund of your $100 deposit and withdraw your name from the list.

MERIT & COMMUNITY DISCOUNTS

We offer a small number of no-strings-attached music & community-based tuition discounts for first-time & returning campers in the categories listed below.

These are substantial discounts ranging from $300 to full tuition. The winners are chosen by an anonymous Selection Committee that includes none of our camp staff. Amateur and professional musicians of any age may apply.

To apply for a Merit & Community Discount, click the button below and fill out the Merit & Community Discount application and select the box that says you’re interested in one of these discounts. The additional application questions will then appear, and you’ll fill them out before submitting your final lottery application with the fully refundable $100 deposit.

The Merit and Community Discounts Registration is now closed

The Merit & Community Discount applications will be considered by a Selection Committee before the regular lottery takes place. If you win a Discount, we already have your registration information and we will simply bill you for your balance (or refund your $100 deposit if you were awarded a full discount!). If you don’t win a Discount this year, we will automatically enter your info into the regular lottery unless you tell us not to.

If the registration deposit is preventing you from applying please email us directly to discuss other arrangements. Your answers will be kept confidential and will be read only by the Selection Committee.

*If you received a merit or community discount in the past THREE years you will not be eligible to receive one this year.

This discount is offered thanks to the generosity of the Club Passim Iguana Music Fund, and one winner will be asked to commit to a one-song performance at the Iguana Fund Showcase in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Tuesday, May 19th, 2020 at 7pm. Open to all ages.
